Activities on the 100th birthday of Marga Klompé

At the occasion of the 100th birthday of Marga Klompé, several activities will be organised in the month of November. More information is available in the newsletter (Dutch) of the Marga Klompé Foundation.

9 November - visit of Queen Beatrix to Tilburg University:: The Dutch queen Beatrix will visit the province of Noord-Brabant and Tilburg University. After a speech by Prof. Dr. Mirjam van Reisen, professor International Social Responsibility and holder of the Chair Marga Klompé, the Queen will be invited to unveil the bust of former Minister Marga Klompé. 9 November - 85th Dies Natalis of Tilburg University: Ellen Johnson Sirleaf will give the oration at the occasion of the 85th anniversary of the foundation of the university. The theme will be International Social Responsibility. She will also be rewarded with a doctorate honoris causa. More info about the Dies is available here.

9 November - book publications: 2 (Dutch) books in honor of Marga Klompé will be published on this day.
