Conference on the Legacy of Marga Klompé for an Ethical Approach to Health Care and Ageing in a Globalised World

Picture1Co-chaired by the endowed chair prof. Mirjam van Reisen, Tilburg University (The Netherlands) hosted a conference on Marga Klompé 'A Bouquet on the Table' The Legacy of Marga Klompé for an Ethical Approach to Health Care and Ageing in a Globalised World that will take place on the 16th of November 2012.

Marga Klompé, the first female minister of the Netherlands, would have celebrated her 100th birthday this year.  She was responsible for major reforms regarding care, including those related to the elderly. As new international developments, including migration and changing demographics heavily impact upon the quality of care, this is a highly topical issue that requires special attention. Our event will bring together well-known figures, academics and other guests who have valuable knowledge to share on this topic, including Ruud Lubbers, Ernst Hirsch Ballin, Kathleen Ferrier, Agnes van Ardenne, Wim Meijer and Annelies van Heijst.
